Amena ("we", "our", or "the app") is a Christian prayer app developed by Louis Blankaert. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use Amena.
Amena is designed with privacy in mind. We do not collect or store any personal data on our servers. All your data (name, prayer times, prayer history, preferences) is stored locally on your device using Apple's standard storage (UserDefaults).
We use Firebase Analytics (Google) to collect anonymous usage data such as app opens, prayer completions, and onboarding steps. This data helps us improve the app. No personally identifiable information is included. You can learn more at firebase.google.com/support/privacy.
Amena uses the Google Gemini API to generate personalized prayers. When a prayer is generated, a prompt describing your prayer preferences (time of day, general mood) is sent to Google's API. No personal identifiers (name, email, etc.) are included in these requests. See Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
Amena offers auto-renewable subscriptions (weekly and yearly) managed entirely by Apple's App Store and StoreKit. We never see or store your payment information. Apple handles all billing. See Apple's privacy policy at apple.com/legal/privacy.
With your permission, Amena sends local push notifications to remind you to pray. These notifications are generated on your device and are never sent to our servers.
Amena does not require you to create an account. There is no login, no email, no password.
Amena is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
